Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in 1980. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), Nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. She has Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen was already a skilled entertainer in the early stages. When she was in 1992, the actress went to her first audition. She was successful and got the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 when her mom signed up for an agent, was also auditioned for ads on newspapers and TV. Additionally, she began to take acting lessons privately. Bell was credited with a minor part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. She was cast as Dorothy in the production for high school in The Wizard of Oz. Bell studied music theatre in the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell, who graduated in 2001, resigned her studies at the university to play in the role of Becky on Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part was cut and only the credits display her. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell appeared in The Crucible, a Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
